Returns and Refunds

Under the guidelines of The Consumer Rights Act have a right to withdraw their purchase within 14 days following product delivery. This right does not extend to purchases made by businesses or sole proprietorships.

To initiate a withdrawal, consumers should contact us via email at sales@automationdatabase.com with the following information: 

  • To: [Please include the recipient's name, address, and, if possible, telephone number, fax number, and email address]
  • Body of the email should state the intention to withdraw from the purchase, list the goods/services being returned, include the order date/delivery date, and provide the name(s) and address(es) of the consumer(s), followed by the current date.

Returns and Inspection

1. Authorisation to return products does not imply recognition of any defects or non-conformity, which will be determined after return inspection and technical analysis within 1 to 7 days for consumer purchases, or 1 to 15 days for non-consumer purchases.

2. Customers are advised to handle the product minimally and must ensure the original packaging is protected during return shipping to maintain product integrity and avoid damage.

3. Authorised returns should be sent via a trackable and insured method if the value exceeds £50, along with a copy of the return authorisation notice, to the provided address within 14 days of reporting the issue.

Cancellation and Refunds

1. Product orders are subject to availability.

2. The website does not display live inventory numbers due to potential simultaneous orders and offline sales, making precise stock counts challenging and only displays the stock level from the last stock update.

3. For promotional items, we reserve the right to limit order quantities, with customer notification and agreement, or consider the order cancelled.

4. Orders for unavailable products will be cancelled, with customers notified via email about the cancellation and the reasons behind it. We may offer a replacement product or alternative solutions before proceeding with a refund, requiring explicit customer approval.

5. We are not liable for damages resulting from order cancellations. 

6. Customers may request order cancellations via email to sales@automationdatabase.com, subject to approval and provided order preparation has not started. Refunds will follow as per our provided instructions.

Cancellations requested after order preparation has begun may incur fees related to administrative costs, back-order procurement, shipping, customs, and any pre-paid expenses, with a possible penalty up to 40% of the product value. Full costs will be communicated upon cancellation request, with confirmation needed within 72 hours, or it's assumed granted.

Damaged Products in Transit

If a product arrives damaged, refuse delivery. Accepting delivery requires noting the damage on the courier's document, retaining all packaging for inspection, and immediately contacting customer service at sales@automationdatabase.com.

Upon receipt, verify package numbers match the transport document and that packaging is undamaged. Note any discrepancies or damage when signing the courier's document. No claims on the parcel's external condition can be made after signing.

Incorrect shipping addresses may lead to delays and additional fees. Refunds cannot be requested in this scenario.

Refund Process 

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method (credit card, bank transfer).

  • Manufactured on demand/factory special build products
  • Software and licenses.
  • Customised products.
